SimonDR imaging equipment now works with AVImark, DragonflyPACS

Connects imaging equipment with practice management software for enhanced efficiency.

Piedmont, MO and Baltimore, MD - McAllister Software Systems®, creators of AVImark® veterinary software, has validated imaging equipment from SimonDR, Inc. to work with McAllister's DragonflyPACS®. Veterinarians who use AVImark veterinary software, DragonflyPACS, and SimonDR's equipment can now request, receive, and view images within AVImark, attach images to patient medical records, and automatically capture and bill charges to customers. The result: improved practice efficiency and diagnostic ability.

"Achieving true integration between AVImark and SimonDR's equipment via DragonflyPACS eliminates many steps, making digital x-rays easier than ever and more error-free for veterinarians," said Jason Simon, president of SimonDR. "Most of the time, mistakes happen due to human error, so any integration that automates processes will pay off quickly."

DragonflyPACS works with SimonDR's 9mp Flat Panel systems, Advanced 18mp CCD systems, Exotic 20mp CCD systems, and DRD digital dental systems, creating a bi-directional interface between this equipment and AVImark software. Once taken, images are automatically fed back into the AVImark/Dragonfly system and attached to client and patient records, allowing for easy viewing, storage, and retrieval, from any computer in a veterinary practice.

DragonflyPACS is a user-friendly tool for viewing, transferring, and archiving images. Any image from any device (x-rays, CT, MRI, ultrasound, endoscopy, digital camera) and any type of document (diagnostic findings, patient histories, faxes) can be stored in a DragonflyPACS digital file and accessed through AVImark. DragonflyPACS has outstanding image quality compliant with DICOM 3.0 standards, plus advanced tools for magnification, measurement, and manipulation of images.
